A50 Junction Uttoxeter
Client | Staffordshire County Council | Highways Agency
Completion | December 2018
The Project
The A50 junction project was developed in partnership with Staffordshire County Council and JCB, primarily to enhance the safety of vehicles entering the A50 near the JCB World Parts Centre. The scheme included the construction of a new bridge and associated slip roads to create a safer and more efficient junction. Additionally, a new flyover was built to improve traffic flow and overall safety in the area.
As part of their commitment to community engagement, a new BMX track was also constructed, providing a valuable recreational facility for local residents.
Alpha 1 Construction was responsible for all drainage works across the site, including the installation of pipes, gullies, headwalls, and ducting. They also managed all utility coordination, the installation of a pumping main, and the creation of a pond as part of the site’s sustainable drainage system.
